Experience Vietnam: Highline College’s 2025 Experiential Learning Program

Join Highline College Global Programs for an unforgettable journey marking the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War. The “50 Years After: A Vietnam History” program is a unique opportunity to explore the war’s legacy and its profound impact on Vietnam and the world over the past five decades.

Through engaging workshops in the fall and winter quarters, participants will gain valuable insights into Vietnam’s history and culture, culminating in a life-changing trip to Vietnam from March 14 to March 24, 2025. This immersive experience includes visits to historically significant war sites and places of cultural importance, offering a deep understanding of Vietnam’s rich heritage and resilience.

What’s Included in the $2,700 Program Fee:

  • Round-trip airfare from Seattle to Vietnam
  • One-way airfare from Saigon to Da Nang
  • 9 nights of hotel accommodation
  • Two meals per day
  • Local transportation in Vietnam
  • Excursion tickets to major attractions
  • Participation in all organized activities

Professional Development Opportunities:

  • Faculty may use their annual professional development allotment and give-back funds toward the cost of the program (restrictions apply).
  • Exempt and classified staff can apply for a $2,000 professional development award, with an additional $700 personal contribution covering the remaining cost.
