Although there is a wide range of career opportunities with an international focus, it can be challenging to know where to start. Paid Internship with Global Programs

Global Programs was very thankful to host two paid student internship positions in spring quarter!  A big thank you to the University of Washington’s Center for Global Studies, Center, Southeast Asia Center, South Asia Center and East Asia Center for generously supporting this internship. Be sure to keep an eye out for future opportunities like this one. 

Scholarships

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program

This scholarship comes from the U.S. Department of State and provides opportunities for students to either study or do internships abroad. This scholarship is available for U.S. citizens who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding for their undergraduate education.

Critical Language Scholarship Program

This program is for U.S. citizens enrolled in college, and includes structured cultural enrichment experiences and intensive language instruction abroad. This program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the American Councils for International Education. Students will spend 7-10 weeks abroad studying Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bangla, Chines, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Punjabi, Russian, Turkish, Urdu, or Swahili.
